I believe everyone has heard and used the phrase 'God bless you'. Commonly, a person will usually say 'God bless you' to another person when he is in trouble. In my humble opinion, this is a wrong usage of such great phrase.
First of all, we need to understand that God is love. This can be proven in one of the bible phrase:
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)
In Genesis, God created human being. However, later we human being become sinful for disobeying His command. The sin, is the thing that stops us from united with God because sinful people can only go to hell. So God sent His son, Jesus to die for our sins. Therefore whoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life, which is to be with God in heaven. Imagine God is a human being. This person (who is God) loves you so dearly until He is willing to ask his son to DIE for you because of your evil doing without any condition. If this is not love, then what is it?
If you have the thought to say 'God bless you' in a sarcastic way to a person who is in trouble, please don't do so. You're giving an impression that "only God (something invisible and unreliable) can help you", or "you are off alone with your troubles".
God has always blessed us in many ways. He blesses us with an opportunity to live in this world because He created Adam and Eve. He blesses us with all kind of resources because He created everything on Earth as well as giving us the authority to rule. He blesses us with Jesus, so that we are able to unite with Him. He blesses us with all kind of blessing - seen and unseen ones. Meanwhile, He also blesses us with difficulties. Not only difficulties make us mature, difficulties make us learn how to trust, believe and surrender to God.
So don't ever say 'God bless you' sarcastically when God HAS ALWAYS BLESSED US. The blessing is in the form of disguise, so not seeing doesn't mean that it's not there. Similarly to love. Love is not an object, it cannot be seen but this doesn't mean that love is not exists.
